ZOO Copenhagen
In 2025 Copenhagen Zoo launched a new platform, “Saving wildlife together”, to show that its work reaches far beyond the garden gate: from biodiversity projects in Denmark to helping the golden lion tamarin back from the brink in Brazil.
Nature’s Balance turns biodiversity into a game everyone knows. Every species is a block in the tower; take too many away and the world wobbles. The idea became a giant Jenga tower that toured Denmark, from City Hall Square in Copenhagen all the way to the island of Bornholm, and a Zoo edition of the game to take home.
The platform rolled out on TV, digital, the Metro and the streets of Copenhagen, including a city bus where two panther chameleons seem to open the doors with their tongues.
Nature’s Balance was shortlisted at the Creative Circle Awards 2026 in Spatial Design, and earned more than DKK 750,000 in media coverage, including a 15-minute segment on TV 2’s GO’ Morgen.
